Ende (H. van den) et al: Dutch Domestic Clocks, the English Way (1675 - 1750)

An interesting publication by the Dutch clock museum in Zaandam detailing the English influence on Dutch clockmaking in the very early years of the pendulum clock. The famous Coster/Fromanteel contract and a short pedigree of the Fromanteel family are included as is a list of English clockmakers active in Holland. The book also has list of Dutch and English characteristics of clocks in the 1675 - 1750 period; a period when the two can look very similar. Fine copy, card covers.
