This book is the definitive reference work on these makers as the author has used the order books, workshop journals and French Naval records which all fortunately still exist. For each maker a list of all items made is given with details of who made various parts and their cost, as well as the name of the original purchaser. A fine copy (with presentation inscription signed by author on title page) with very good original film wrapper and card slipcase. [English and French language]
